CAREERS AT THUNDERCLAP

Come build the honest version of this industry

We sell social media growth in a market not famous for straight answers. The way we compete is by being the one that tells the truth — in the product, in the copy, and in how we hire.

HOW WE WORK

Three things worth knowing before you apply

Not values on a wall. These are the ones you can check against this site before you send us anything.

Remote, and actually remote

Every role on this page is 100% remote. There is no head office you are quietly expected to move near, and no hybrid asterisk. We hire for the work rather than the timezone, and we say so in the posting rather than in the third interview.

Written down, not passed on

Our editorial standards, refund and refill terms, and review policy are all published on this site — not because it makes a nice page, but because a written decision is one a new person can read, question and rely on. You will be expected to write things down too.

We would rather say less and have it be true

In August 2026 we deleted nine invented staff profiles and seventy-nine invented customer reviews from this site rather than rewrite them into something more defensible. If that reads as an odd thing to advertise, it is the standard you would be working to.

OPEN ROLES

What we're hiring for

Every role is full-time and fully remote. Salary is discussed on the first call and set against your location and experience — we would rather agree a real number with you than post a range we would then negotiate away from.

Customer Support Specialist

Answer the people who have already paid us, across three lanes, and own the refill and refund calls end to end.

Customer Support Remote · Worldwide Full-time

Support is not a deflection desk here. We publish a 30-day refill guarantee and a refund policy that is narrower than most of our competitors', and the person answering the ticket is the person who decides which one applies. That only works if you understand the product properly.

Our contact page splits into support, sales and general lanes, and everything lands in one inbox that you help keep filterable. Most tickets are about an order in flight: where it is, why a count moved, or whether a refill is due.

Hours: Full-time, shift-based — we cover support 24/7, so shifts include nights or weekends on rotation.

What you'll do

  • Answer support, sales and general enquiries within our published response window, in clear written English.
  • Look up orders in the customer dashboard and the fulfilment records, and explain plainly what is happening to an order.
  • Apply the 30-day refill guarantee and the refund policy correctly, and escalate the cases that genuinely need a decision.
  • Spot the tickets that are really a product bug or a fulfilment fault and write them up so engineering or ops can act.
  • Feed recurring questions back into the FAQ and the help copy, so the same ticket does not arrive fifty more times.

What we're looking for

  • Fluent, careful written English — most of this job is writing.
  • Experience in a customer-facing support role, ideally for a product people have paid for.
  • Willing to work a rotating shift that includes some nights or weekends.
  • Comfortable saying no clearly and kindly when a request falls outside the policy.
  • A reliable internet connection and a quiet place to work.

Nice to have

  • You have used Instagram, TikTok or YouTube seriously — as a creator, a marketer, or both.
  • Experience with a helpdesk tool and with writing macros that do not read like macros.
  • A second language.

Fulfilment Operations Associate

Watch orders actually deliver: routing, quality, drops and refills across six platforms and every service we sell.

Operations Remote · Worldwide Full-time

Every order we take is routed to a fulfilment service by a numeric id. If an id is wrong, orders quietly deliver the wrong thing — that has happened, and catching it is this job.

You own the boring, decisive middle of the business: is the order running, is it running at the right pace, did it hold, and if it dropped, did the refill go out before the customer noticed.

Hours: Full-time, with some weekend on-call on rotation.

What you'll do

  • Monitor orders in flight and investigate anything that stalls, under-delivers or drops.
  • Maintain the mapping between what we sell and how it is fulfilled, and verify it after every change.
  • Run refills against the 30-day guarantee, and keep a record of what needed one and why.
  • Track supplier quality over time and flag when a service degrades, with evidence rather than a hunch.
  • Work with support on the tickets that need an operational answer.

What we're looking for

  • You are precise with numbers and notice when one looks wrong.
  • Comfortable in spreadsheets and in admin dashboards; able to reconcile two sources that disagree.
  • Experience in an operations, fulfilment or marketplace-quality role.
  • Clear written English and a habit of writing things down.

Nice to have

  • You have worked with social media marketing panels or a similar supplier network.
  • Basic SQL, or enough scripting to check a few thousand rows without doing it by hand.

SEO Content Writer

Write the guides that bring people here — researched, genuinely useful, and accurate about platforms that change monthly.

Content Remote · Worldwide Full-time

Our free how-to guides carry the majority of this site's search traffic, and they outperform our commercial pages on engagement by an order of magnitude. They do that because they answer the question honestly instead of bending it towards a checkout.

Every maintained guide is reviewed by our research editor before it publishes, and carries his name when it does. You would be writing into that standard: claims sourced, platform behaviour checked against the platform's own documentation, and updated when the platform moves.

Hours: Full-time. Hours are yours; we care about published work, not a calendar.

What you'll do

  • Research and write long-form guides and platform explainers that hold up to scrutiny.
  • Keep the maintained library current — platforms rename features and retire metrics, and a stale guide is worse than no guide.
  • Work from keyword research to a brief, and from a brief to something a real person would want to read.
  • Write to our editorial policy: dates shown, sources checkable, no invented statistics, no invented testimonials.
  • Collaborate with the research editor through review, and take edits well.

What we're looking for

  • A portfolio of published long-form writing in English that you personally wrote.
  • Working knowledge of SEO: search intent, keyword research, internal linking, and what a title tag is for.
  • Genuine familiarity with at least two of Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, X, Facebook and LinkedIn.
  • You check things. If you cannot source a number, you leave it out.

Nice to have

  • Experience with Ahrefs, Semrush or Search Console.
  • You have written in a regulated or fact-checked environment before.
  • Comfortable editing in Markdown or straight in a codebase.

Full-Stack Engineer (Next.js / TypeScript)

Ship the storefront, the checkout and the customer dashboard on a modern Next.js codebase with real traffic behind it.

Engineering Remote · Worldwide Full-time

The site is Next.js 15 on the App Router with React 19, TypeScript in strict mode and Tailwind v4, deployed on AWS Amplify. Payments and fulfilment run through a gateway integration; analytics runs through several event pipelines at once.

It is a real production codebase with real constraints — a build-output ceiling, a CDN that caches harder than you would like, and 650-odd pages that all have to keep ranking. We write guards for the mistakes we have already made rather than a document asking people not to repeat them.

Hours: Full-time, asynchronous. Some overlap with European hours for reviews.

What you'll do

  • Build and maintain the marketing pages, the checkout funnel and the customer dashboard.
  • Work across the stack: server components, API routes, third-party integrations, and the CSS that holds it together.
  • Keep performance and Core Web Vitals honest on mobile, where our traffic actually is.
  • Write the build-time checks that stop a class of bug coming back.
  • Review other people's changes carefully, including ours.

What we're looking for

  • Strong TypeScript and React, and real experience with a modern Next.js app — App Router, server and client components, and when each is right.
  • You can reason about a rendering or caching problem rather than shotgunning changes at it.
  • Comfortable with CSS at a level beyond utility classes.
  • You test what you ship, and you say so plainly when something is not working.

Nice to have

  • Experience with a payment gateway integration or webhook-driven fulfilment.
  • Familiarity with AWS Amplify, Lambda or CloudFront behaviour.
  • You have cared about technical SEO on a large site before.

Lifecycle Marketing Manager

Own the email and lifecycle programme on top of an event pipeline that already tracks the whole funnel.

Growth Remote · Worldwide Full-time

The instrumentation is already in place: cart, checkout, purchase and signup events flow into our CRM and analytics stacks, with server-side conversion tracking so a campaign's revenue is attributed properly rather than guessed at.

What is missing is someone who uses it. This role owns the journeys — abandoned checkout, first purchase, refill reminders, win-back — and is measured on incremental revenue, not on opens.

Hours: Full-time, asynchronous.

What you'll do

  • Design, build and ship lifecycle campaigns and journeys end to end.
  • Write the emails, or work with the content team on them, and hold a consistent voice.
  • Define the conversion events a campaign is measured against, and read the results honestly.
  • Run tests that are actually powered, and kill the ones that are not working.
  • Keep consent and suppression handling correct — an opt-out means opted out everywhere.

What we're looking for

  • You have run an email or lifecycle programme for an ecommerce or subscription business and can talk through what moved.
  • Comfortable in a CRM or marketing-automation tool, building segments and multi-step journeys yourself.
  • Numerate: you can tell a real lift from noise.
  • Strong written English — you will be writing the emails, not just briefing them.

Nice to have

  • Experience with event-based CRMs such as WebEngage, Braze, Klaviyo or Customer.io.
  • You have worked with server-side conversion tracking or a measurement protocol before.
  • SQL, or enough of it to answer your own questions.

THE PROCESS

Four steps, and no disappearing act

The same process for every role on this page. If we are going to say no, we say it quickly.

1

You apply

Email careers@thunderclap.com with the role in the subject line, a CV or portfolio, and a few lines on why this one. A person reads every application, and you will hear back either way.

2

Intro call

About thirty minutes on video, in both directions. What you have done, what the role actually involves day to day, and whether the answers line up.

3

A practical exercise

Short, scoped, and close to the real work rather than a puzzle. If it runs to more than a couple of hours we pay for your time.

4

Final conversation, then an offer

You meet the people you would work with, ask the awkward questions, and get a decision quickly rather than a month of silence.

Nothing here fits?

Send an open application anyway. Tell us what you are good at and what you would want to own — we keep them on file and go back to them first when a role opens.
